    this is a set of matching jumpers i just finished making for a lady i sew for.  arent they cute?  there is one for the lady, one for her dd, and one for her dd's dolly.  and of course a matching scrunchie for her dd also.  :)

     

    tomorrow i go to my next prenatal appt.  please pray with me that everything is still well.

  • more about me

    more about me... that is why you read this isnt it?  lol

    i was diagnosed prediabetic, and hypogylcemic earlier this year.  actually i had know i was hypoglycemic when i was a teenager, but had gotten off the diet years and years ago.  i didnt take it seriously and didnt really understand it.  now, i realize i would have felt so much better and would most likely have never gotten into the prediabetic range if i had stayed on this way of eating when i was much younger.    so, in case you are wondering, yes, i do plan on staying with this way of eating for the rest of my life.  it makes me feel soooooooo much better.  and in fact, we have put our 5 yr old on this way of eating too due to her displaying ADHD tendencies.  it has made a HUGE difference for her too.

    misalisa, i have now lost 57 pounds.  amazing isnt it?  and i do not have to reduce the size of my helpings or worry about the size of my helpings at all.  i have simply cut out all sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, corn, and beans (like the kidney beans...regular green beans are okay) from my diet.  i eat lots of meat, fruit, veggies, light yogurt, cottage cheese, and sugar free icecream.  the weight has just melted off at its own pace and i feel tons better now that my blood sugars are under control.  it has helped the depression i was dealing with too.

     

    we had a nasty stomach flu go thru our family a little while ago and i think it is safe to say that we are finally over it now.  it lasted a LONG time in some of us.  according to the walmart cashier (the authority, ya know ,lol) it is going around and does last days.  it is so nice to not have the yucky things that go with stomach flus anymore.

     

    our family is in quite a time right now wondering what God wants us to do.  we are thinking we are going to move back to mo but to a different area.  please pray for us as we try to discern His will.  we are coming to understand and find ourselves more and we think we are growing closer to Him as He teaches us about mercy and grace.  Praise His Name!
