more about me
more about me... that is why you read this isnt it? lol
i was diagnosed prediabetic, and hypogylcemic earlier this year. actually i had know i was hypoglycemic when i was a teenager, but had gotten off the diet years and years ago. i didnt take it seriously and didnt really understand it. now, i realize i would have felt so much better and would most likely have never gotten into the prediabetic range if i had stayed on this way of eating when i was much younger. so, in case you are wondering, yes, i do plan on staying with this way of eating for the rest of my life. it makes me feel soooooooo much better. and in fact, we have put our 5 yr old on this way of eating too due to her displaying ADHD tendencies. it has made a HUGE difference for her too.

I never knew that. I would love to hear more about specifics. I think I may be slightly insulin resistant. I have been walking regularly and trying to watch sugars. I eat a lot of fiber and non sugar carbs, but I've checked out diabetic diets and they just don't make much sense to me. But your diet sounds simple enough.
I would also love to hear what your 5 year old eats, since my toddlers right now will only eat ramen noodles. ugh!
I wish I had learned more about nutrition in my younger years! I know my boys get tired of hearing me talk about things like protein, but I really believe that much of my weight gain could have been avoided had I known how to eat properly.
